Biological Activity

Anisomycin is a bacterial antibiotic isolated from Streptomyces griseus. It is also an effective protein synthesis inhibitor, which interferes with the synthesis of protein and DNA by inhibiting peptidyl transferase or the 80S ribosomal system.
