Homoalanosine is a substance with herbicidal activity produced by Streptomyces galilaeus. It has the activity of removing a variety of weeds, but does not damage rice plants. It has anti-gram-positive bacteria activity on synthetic media, but it can be offset by L-aspartic acid and L-glutamic acid.
